What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?
The explosive conclusion to Veronica Roth’s #1 New York Times bestselling Divergent trilogy reveals the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

An Amazon Best Books of the Month, October 2013: Allegiant is the book you’ve been waiting to read, have to read. It’s as brilliant as I’d hoped, maybe even more so. I’m dying to talk about the particulars, but my lips (and pen) are sealed until after the book goes on sale October 22. Check back with me then…–Seira Wilson

John Grisham takes you back to where it all began . . .

John Grisham’s A Time to Kill is one of the most popular novels of our time. Now we return to that famous courthouse in Clanton as Jake Brigance once again finds himself embroiled in a fiercely controversial trial-a trial that will expose old racial tensions and force Ford County to confront its tortured history.

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County’s most notorious citizens, just three years earlier.

The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly? And what does it all have to do with a piece of land once known as Sycamore Row?

In Sycamore Row, John Grisham returns to the setting and the compelling characters that first established him as America’s favorite storyteller. Here, in his most assured and thrilling novel yet, is a powerful testament to the fact that Grisham remains the master of the legal thriller, nearly twenty-five years after the publication of A Time to Kill.

Inspired by Katya and Paul.

Took a photo of whatever books were lying on my bed at this exact moment. (I piled them up before I did.) I think I had even more books sitting on my desk at the same time.

I’ve read everything I own now though, so anyone have any good ideas for a summer reading list? (I’m a non-fiction fan, but not averse to a good novel or collection.)

Had seen it around where others took photos of the books they’d read last year and thought I’d examine my stack. Somehow, I thought there were more than this, but perhaps not. ;-) (then again, this isn’t including any e-books I may have gotten, of which there were quite a few) And yes, I know Les Mis is abridged. I’m not sure I’m up to the full length. ;-)

Edited to add:

This list is missing The Secret Bride and And Only to Deceive (I knew there were two missing!).The Joy of Six: Australian sport books

The book also gives a great glimpse into how hard-won the battles were for the sport in Australia. Despite being beloved throughout the world, the sport needed to find a voice down under and Warren was often that voice. The game was lucky to have him.
